Located
in the City of Courtenay in beautiful Vancouver Island's Comox Valley,
Hiram Lodge extends fraternal greetings to all brethren and visitors to
our internet home.
Hiram
Lodge No. 14 was founded
in 1891 and is
one of Vancouver Island's oldest lodges.
The lodge building is located on 5th Street in Courtenay and is
in active use year round by the Courtenay Masonic family. While Hiram
Lodge has had many community leaders and professionals from many fields as
members, such standing carries no weight in lodge and all men meet on
"the level" as brothers.
Hiram Lodge does not solicit new members. Any individual interested
in membership must take the first step and express interest. Nor is
acceptance automatic. Although freemasonry is secular and
multi-denominational, all candidates for membership must declare a belief
in a Supreme Being, be of mature age and must be of demonstrable
"good character". You are invited to browse our site, ask
questions and discover if the mysteries of Freemasonry are for you.
